That fits his lifestyle and the symptoms. Poor diet, lack of exercise, high blood pressure, and daily high levels of stress lead to temporary, brief blockages in arteries that limit oxygen to the brain. This would cause slurred speech, trouble finding words, disrupted thinking patterns. Can also cause dizziness and other physical symptoms depending on what area of the.brain is affected.

Repeated mini strokes over a period of time can reduce mental clarity and overall brain function.

They can also be forerunners of a more serious stroke or heart attack.

If a longer spell of symptoms occurred, indicating a more serious, but not necessarily incapacitating stroke, that would explain taking him to a hospital for tests and prescribed treatment.

I cannot believe that people closest to him have not noticed symptoms that are obvious to the general public. They must be aware and are just not talking about it.
