26. when admin made the decisions, they did ban it.

when we had mods, it was an insta-delete. one of the few.

now that it is in community hands, sadly, it is rampant.
i really do appreciate the jury system. it is brilliant. but as a former mod, i see the holes in it. one thing i wish we had was a chance to put a note on an alert. they guys tried really hard to define the standards and offenses, but sometimes it isnt that obvious to random posters why something fits a rule, or even why is doesnt fit the rule, but should be taken down anyway.

esp because we were not judging blind posts, but had a history in front of us, and had a lot of institutional memory. made it a lot easier to see. but it was hard even then sometimes, and there was a lot of debate about a lot of things.
this place is only barely governable.
