This was a new one for me. For those who aren't familiar with it, Nathan Poe's original statement was, "Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is utterly impossible to parody a Creationist in such a way that someone won't mistake for the genuine article."

This column is obviously parody. But in the Era of Trump, it's often impossible to tell fact from fiction.

Rex Huppke is a humor columnist. Here's his bio from the Chicago Tribune:

Rex Huppke writes a humor(ish) column. He is considered (by himself) to be America’s most-beloved columnist, though there is no empirical evidence of that. Before becoming a columnist he spent a decade reporting on social justice issues, from poverty and gang violence to the gay civil rights movement. He previously worked for The Associated Press.
