But I try to keep in mind that we do have to just get them interested and seeing the value in voting first and then we've usually got a voter for life. I try not to see youth through the lens of my own experience because I was one of the ones who was very interested in politics from the time I was about 16. The rest of my peer group at that time - not so much. They'd get excited about a presidential election but nothing else. As we got older and had children we evolved into caring more about school bond issues, library issues, etc.

I just want more of them to register and get to the polls because most young people are going to not vote for republicans and that's a good thing.
