I couldn't reconcile why gop support was so high until I begun digging deeper into the polls. Many don't measure independents, but the ones that do are showing significant growth there, and they're leaning towards moderate Democrats. It's one reason I suspect Biden will take the nomination, the other being AA and Hispanic support, especially older. Democrats are also growing. On the gop side a 10% drop in 3 months is significant, and it could drop another 8 to 10% by the GE. It also makes those mysterious photo finish races that have become so commonplace much harder to pull off.
