10. My grandmother is one of the best people I have ever known, and she died of lung cancer.

I still miss her, admire her empathy and moral convictions, fondly recall her interests and opinions, wistfully engage in her hobbies myself, see her influence on me and my family and our traditions and habits every day, even though she died decades ago.

But I have no particular feelings of empathy for Limbaugh *beyond* that which I have for any anonymous, unknown-to-me cancer sufferer -- of which there are millions globally. Neither do I *deny* him that.

And yet, it seems to me to be rather evident that the world would be a better place if Rush Limbaugh had never acted in it. So any discontinuation of that phenomenon will be welcomed by me, regardless of the means by which it arises.
