I wonder what would have happened if 100 citizens were in place of the 100 (57 and 43 vote) senators, that the results would have been the same margin. I suspect more Americans would have found the behavior and evidence supplied far more sufficient to find guilty. Perhaps more closer to 70/30 split, since some republicans found such illegal behaviors wrong. This would have actually impeached the guy.
