Showing Original Post only (View all)I try to avoid arguing politics with my right-wing sister on Facebook... [View all]
...but I just couldn't stand not saying something when I saw a post that started with...
Sour grapes. Pelosi is a washed up, bitter, and pathetic hater of American liberty. She detests the unborn. She does not support our laws or our safety...nor does she respect those who sacrifice their lives to protect and defend us. The Drama Queen behavior last night just proved how immature, vulgar, and classless she is.
My reply:
The words "immature, vulgar, and classless" describe Trump to a T. All the time, day after day, every day -- not just in an occasional outburst, but as a life-long habit. Anyone who stands by Trump has given up all right to criticize ANYONE for being "immature, vulgar, and classless". Trump does more immature, vulgar, and classless things before breakfast each morning than Pelosi does in a decade.
Trump is the man who just yesterday used the National Prayer Breakfast as an attack platform against his rivals and enemies. He went out of his way to disagree with a preacher (and indirectly, with Jesus himself) after the preacher talked about loving your enemies, to which Trump's response was "I don't know if I agree with you".
And that's just one very recent example. I'd try to list Trump's many acts of immaturity, vulgarity, and classlessness, but I don't thing Facebook will allow a 30 megabyte comment.
As for "sour grapes"... have you noticed how everyone and anyone who criticizes Trump is "sour grapes", or "a loser", or "jealous", or "crazy", or "low IQ", or "a radical liberal", or "a never-Trumper"... always some childish insult, and never, ever a cogent counter argument?
But of course, for some reason, Trump gets the "well, that's just Trump being Trump" pass for his immaturity, vulgarity, and classlessness.
Or for him, the same misbehavior is somehow transformed into "being strong".
As for "respect those who sacrifice their lives to protect and defend us"... who was it who recently described traumatic brain injuries suffered by American soldiers in Iraq as just "headaches"? Who simply abandoned our Kurdish allies to death and displacement on an ill-considered whim? (Something even a few Republicans, in their increasing rare moments of courage, criticized Trump strongly for.)
