he might "win" the election. The means to steal it will still be in place. But he might not need to do that.

He has made himself a hero with his vote, which is why I have not given him my praise for it. I do not believe his vote came from an altruistic stance for nation above party. It was no great risk for him. He knew Trump would be acquitted so he would not be blamed for convicting him with his vote. I believe his vote was a calculated act to get just what is happening -- praise and a positive image among Dems, Independents, and those Pubs who are embarrassed by and fed up with Trump's lack of decorum.

Romney is no John McCain. He is a totally self-serving individual painting himself as moral and religious for the sake of a future (near future) run. At the very least, for the sake of taking over party leadership and influencing/rescuing it.
