8. While China didn't handle the beginning of this well,

They have executed the best quarantine I've ever seen. The rest of the world is gaining precious time to get a vaccine and to figure out the best antiviral treatments.

That said, this may throw the world into a recession and there are going to be deaths tangentially related to an inability to get needed drug components from China.

Still, China and their people are taking this hard on the chin.
