9. He never knowingly did anything wrong. Except for one thing.

He voted for Trump. Instead of the leniency and understanding that might well have been shown by a government led by Hillary Clinton, he now suffers from the cynical harshness that reflects the Trump administration and its directives.

If he STILL is incapable of realizing the difference, of realizing that the tragedy that is befalling him is in part because of how he voted, then he needs to start to plan for his thoroughly unjust expulsion from the only home he has ever known. If there were ANY justice whatsoever, this man would be forgiven whatever immigration transgressions he "committed," because he was completely unaware that he had committed them.

Instead, he voted for an administration that delights in being cruel to people that have no defense against cruelty. Now that he is a victim of that cruelty, he STILL can't quite bring himself to believe that what happened to him is unfair. Unfortunate, yes, but unfair? It's the law, and he swore to uphold the law. Didn't he?

Only when he starts to understand that HE is a victim, and not a perpetrator (however unknowing), THEN he will understand the error of supporting people like Trump and Cruz, who couldn't care less about what happens to people like him. If he knows this and STILL gives them a pass, then he needs to start packing, because it means he ultimately views his pending expulsion as just and correct.
