1. Our neighbors found a cabin inside of their house.

I grew up in a neighborhood of large, old houses mostly built in the late 1800's. The family down the block was updating their kitchen when they found that the plaster was covering a log wall. Eventually they determined that all four walls of a cabin from the early 1800's were still there, previous owners had just built around and above it.

I haven't been back there in many years but at that time the house was still standing.
