14. Universal health care

That we’d started it at the same time the UK did and never had the employer-based system at all. Then it would just be a fact of life and not the most pressing issue (IMO) we have today.
I have a cousin in England and we discuss this on occasion. He said the people gripe about the NHS but any politician (no matter how right-wing) who even suggests trying an “American system” - kiss of death to their career.
