(8,445 posts)Having something to do is something that a lot of people don't think about. I mean, I've got plenty of tp, but using it doesn't really occupy that many minutes of my day.
Seriously, though, I've been thinking a lot about what things to do while I'm pretty much isolating myself. I've always got a long list of projects, so hopefully I can motivate myself to do them. One very big plus is that we can interact online, which is something we couldn't do back in the day. I grew up in ND, and there were times we were stranded at home because of a blizzard. Often times the power would go out. Four days without electricity was horrible.
I was thinking that there probably wouldn't be any harm in going for a drive now and then. It'll probably be a mood-brightener. If we have nice weather, I can work in my yard.
I do feel bad for the people who own and/or work at establishments that are going to take a hit, but I won't be going out to eat or doing any shopping or going to any events. We're a spoiled civilization, it seems, so I'm sure a lot of folks are just going to live life as usual and do nothing to slow the virus so our medical facilities can better handle what's coming.
