this time around, instead of the innuendoes and pushing the markets up or down so his buddies could make some money on his words, this time around, he screwed it up royally and ended up screwing all of his buddies.
Who could have ever predicted such a rout in the markets over such a short period of time? There has been talk (even on DU) by some that the markets were due finally for some correction (after 11 +- years) so not surprising what-so-ever. What is disturbing the markets is rump. And it's not the Russian/Saudi Arabia oil partnership either (to address the US fracking / oil market dominance).

No, personally I think he cost his buddies big time. And I agree w/ you, that some people have made a killing (pardon my unintentional pun) in the markets by shorting them.
