No need to use those with antibacterials, which tend to be more drying. Regular soap is fine

I suspect some who bought up lots of hand sanitizer and TP, had dreams of black market profiteering

Just get soap and wash your hands a lot. Take a bar of soap with you in a plastic bag if you have to

If you can find aloe vera gel you can make your own with rubbing alcohol or high proof booze
