He didnt go to prison. No president in our history has. The same will be the case with Trump. Once elected, Joe Biden will give him blanket immunity in exchange for Trumps going quietly into the night, and we will all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Trump is no longer holding the reigns of power.
The interests of the republic (including the peaceful transition of power) must supersede the interests of justice (including the principle that no person is above the law).
