Here's the progression through 3/26

As of yesterday, Michigan had tested about 950 per million. Between now, and when they reach the current testing rate of the "leaders" NY and WA (more than 6000 tests per million), you will see big jumps in the numbers. These are not actual jumps in the number of cases, just jumps in the number of existing cases detected.

We will also continue to see big jumps in NY as they test more and more people.

If we assume 1% of the population is currently infected, that's over 3 million cases to be detected "out there."
