52. Red Stater - Texas is doing ok.

As I'm writing this, I'm listening to the mayor of the closest (small) city to my rural town. He's doing really well on a Facebook Live. He's keeping up more work on this than Dump ever imagined doing. The nearest large city is on a pretty tight shutdown. This mayor is at least as strict. He's talking about science and the numbers here and around the world, and what he has done to shut down irresponsibility, and what he's likely to do soon if certain behavior keeps up. He's logical, well-reasoned, transparent, and very straightforward. With only 7 cases, 6 from travel (thanks, spring break kids) and 1 catching it from a sick family member they were caring for, he's talking about his next step being a complete lockdown.

So, I'm nervous about Louisiana and eastward, which also makes me worry about the Houston area based on people fleeing.
