Thats what happens when a county has multiple military bases and sub-stations. Plus being the regional mail processor for 780-782 zip codes. Plus being a large city thats a county seat. Plus being home to a massive regional health care system. Plus being the corporate headquarters for the regions primary grocery chain. And then all the support personnel necessary for themcops, firefighters, utilities, etc.
All of that means we have a higher concentration of essential workers per capita than most places. And they all have to go to work.
When you get away from the freeways, though, even some of the busiest streets are quiet. I live off one of those, and its been more like it was when I first moved here. Its been refreshing to get my husband to work without the headaches of recent years.
