(4,950 posts)However, I agree, it is not a good thing to revel in someone's death. I know I am guilty of it to a certain extent (Scalia, pending death of Limbaugh) by believing they met some karmic rewards however, many innocent people are dying of this and many get sick and die of other diseases without "earning" it. It is heartbreaking to read of adult children unknowingly passing it to their parents and unable to be with them at their bedside when they are dying, unable to give them comfort, to say good bye. I don't care what political stripe they favor. But to live the rest of your life knowing you passed the virus to someone you love and are the author or their demise, that is tragic. Also, the healthcare workers who die from this-- no one can claim it is a karmic reward.
I agree, it is unseemly and does not reflect well. Anyone can get this. The virus believes in us.
