In reply to the discussion: Little Star, my mom [View all]CousinIT
(9,743 posts)19. I am so sorry and I know you must be stressed to the hilt right now...
..but do remember to take care of you so you can take care of her. Keep her home and comfortable as best you can. Let her know you're there and she is loved. That's all you can do. I don't blame you for not wanting her to be taken away. If you haven't done so it would be good to let any hospice, doctors, hospitals know your wishes (and likely, hers). They should be able to bring in oxygen, pain meds, whatever is needed to keep her comfortable until she goes. I don't know if in-home nursing is an option but sometimes it is.
Anyway, PLEASE take care of yourself, too. If your sisters can help, call upon them as well. Don't be afraid to ask for help and make your intentions known.
Peace and strength to you my friend.
