Any manager worth his salt has assembled a strong support staff in order to be able to delegate various duties. That staff works with each other to determine what needs doing at any particular time, much like a successful beehive.
A successful leader stands back to allow his qualified people to do the work that needs doing, offering support wherever needed. That organization is what is sorely lacking now.
