Not that he's really learned from it, but the enemy of our enemy is our friend for the moment, and so let's wave nicely at the never trumpers and not get in their way until it's just us versus them and like in the aftermath of WWII, the US and Russia suddenly weren't friends any more to the surprise of only a few people.
