(102,188 posts)There are a lot of new methodologies and I think there more questions for some than others. I will research the methods, the track record of the producer and developer, whether any applicable animal studies were conducted (preferably in primates), and the reaction of European and WHO researchers in addition to the wide range of US virologists and vaccine experts. They will be discussing it publicly and even more frankly on select message boards/forums.
It is a given that the first to receive it after the trials will be health care and public health workers and first responders. The general public will thus have the benefit of their experience in addition to phase2/3 clinical trials. So those who are angry that they can't get said vaccine when it is first introduced might realize that they are actually benefiting from the delay.
