33. If Texas goes blue...

...then there will be a lot of retirement resignations, declines in running again, etc. from the Republicans. The gig is over.

The question then becomes, who takes over? Do they continue with the current ideological nonsense that doesn't get them anywhere, or do they moderate their stances.

I'm still in shock of my state senator sending me resources in case I become unemployed, holding COVID virtual town halls with doctors, info on where to get tested if you think you might have the virus, resources for food, etc. You would automatically think he's a Democrat, but he's Republican. But then again, there hasn't been any serious Democratic challenger. How can you challenge a Republican when they act like Democrats?
