The more Fauci pulls his punches or demurs or couches his words or tiptoes around the Shitstain-in-Chief because he wants to avoid a tweet storm or he doesn't want to get fired - THE LESS HE BECOMES.

The less his reputation becomes.

The less his word becomes.

The less his authority becomes.

The less his credibility becomes (or what's left of it at this point).
