It's a long line, but only one or two deep. Toward the end, it really stretches out.

Southern California (except for LA) is notoriously red. This would have been a tiny trickle compared to the first women's march in Oakland, and there was an even larger one the same day just across the bay in SF. Trump is not winning California.

Also, bear in mind that the Republican Party is so unpopular in California it's been virtually eliminated from holding any power at all.
