Not many changes. You either walk or have a single cart. No rakes in the sand trap, we go out first thing in the morning so didn't really notice any difference there, you just smooth out the divot with your shoes. Courses have done some modifications to the cup. Some have out an insert in so the ball only drops a couple inches down. Worked out well two weeks ago for me, won a skin when a guy putted a bit to fast, rolled in and bounced out due to the insert. The course we played last week had inserts attached to the flag with a little metal piece so you could use your putter head to lift up the insert and your ball would roll on the green. (We had to keep warning one buddy to not lean over and lift the lever with his hand.) And that contraption caused me a skin last week. Had a putt rolling on the edge of the hole, was getting ready to drop when it hit the lever and bounced out for me. Payback sucks!
All and all not bad, seems like courses are doing better spacing of tee times so we almost never on the same hole with another foursome. I think the courses moved from seven to eight minutes between foursomes to twelve to fifteen minutes between foursomes. For the most part we play fast, but is sure is much more enjoyable to have the huge gaps. We are giving one buddy grief because it is like a cross country trip and stopping at every scenic overlook. He is taking a half dozen pictures a round because of the larger gaps. I must say, I have noticed I am spending much more time looking at wildflowers and the hills.
Have a great day out there.
