I can say that the law enforcement response last night was way better. Setting a fire in an unoccupied building or looting a TV or bottle of liquor is bad and can’t be tolerated......

BUT it also should not result in a death sentence and summary execution on the street. That happened in Detroit. It didn’t happen in Minneapolis last night. They did something right.

If the police had tried to overwhelm and arrest the rioters last night, people would have died. As it was, the destruction was at least somewhat limited and contained. I expect we will have more violence tonight. Hopefully it will be similarly limited and contained, and people won’t die.
