I have big hands for a woman, but my fingers are very short. With all but small diameter glasses and bottles, I have to use two hands to securely hold them - my fingers just don't reach far enough around big containers to get a solid grip so I end up using both hands to hold items. Also, at almost 68 I am losing strength in my grip which used to be able to help with holding some larger containers

I'm going with "stroke", but others have made a good case for other reasons, too.

I think that is a result of wearing lifts and refusing to wear glasses.
