she thanked him for raising a son like Beau who fought so hard for trans rights. Joe grabbed her shoulders, leaned in, looked her in the eye and said "WE mean that. WE mean that!" And then kissed the back of her hand and hugged her.

She said we once had a country where the vice president stood firmly for trans rights and now we have an administration with a president who attacks the people he was elected to serve
