12. Another "heritage" viewpoint

I don't recall where I saw it, but the "heritage" argument was being taken for a walk when someone chipped in with, "Well, my great-great grandfather and two of his brothers signed up for the Indiana 133rd Irregulars [or whatever]. It's my family's heritage to shoot any treasonous rebel sumbitch flying that flag."

It impressed me as a pretty good counterargument.
