30. I can respect that, even if I can't identify with it.

Most Americans just live their lives and things go on.

I have been politically interested since I was 14. Full disclosure, for too many years as a republican which a surprisingly large number on DU were as well.

But now we are at a point where our choices actually affect our lives.

Perfect example: Democrats insisted that the unemployment benefits until July 30 be $15 an hour. $600 a week. The republicans had to go along because even they knew we needed something. Without that we would be in a full blown depression. But they are now absolutely refusing to extend that.

There is no perfect candidate or political party.

I live in Florida. We should be a blue state but too few Democratic voters turn out in local and non-presidential election. You want to make a real difference? Vote and get your friends to vote in 2022

I really think this whole trump thing is the last gasp of Americans who desperately want this to stay a white majority Nation.

Will a Democratic President be perfect? Of course not. But better than the alternative.

And you should not go back to being apathetic. Get involved and you can really make a difference.

I hope you have a nice evening and a good week. Stay safe.
