5. Moving to the middle of nowhere

is probably worth serious consideration.

Thanks to the handling of the coronavirus, leaving the country may become a lot more difficult, for at least another 6 months or more. Those who have already gotten out are indeed fortunate.

That leaves finding a more remote spot here.

I'm not exactly going to the middle of nowhere, but I am leaving downtown high rise living for a small, single house with a bit of garden and protected, undeveloped view. My decision is based on the handling of coronavirus and the fact I think I will be at less risk in that environment--and happier staying home indefinitely--until there is treatment to prevent the virus from destroying vital organs. Forget vaccines. It mutates too easily.

Think about what this means for the economy. And to the racists and bigots who have been encouraged to become violent by their wannabe dictator. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear we are in for some very disturbing times.
