23. I applaud your diligence in confronting potentially dangerous narratives...

But it does seem warranted to parse positions like this a little more deeply. Admittedly, that's a little difficult in response to such a short statement, but it is possible.

You are right that it would be unethical to spread belief in herd immunity, but immune and asymptomatic are not, in fact, the same thing, or even anywhere close, and there is in fact considerable merit to operating on the belief that everyone has it, at least in terms of employing the appropriate precautions any time you are in proximity to any other person.

The difference between carrying the virus but not (yet, we should remember the gestation period) being symptomatic and being immune is a VERY big deal. Especially for a virus of which for many the symptoms may be so mild as to go unnoticed or mistaken for an everyday run of the mill chest cold, and especially during allergy season.

I don't see any evidence here that NatureMan is operating in bad faith or with any intentional negligence, so this seems like a good scenario for us to work together on helping craft a more wholly accurate and responsible understanding of this pandemic, while avoiding any sense of condemnation that is not entirely warranted.

In short, I believe the post to which you are responding merits augmentation, not repudiation.
