(25,355 posts)people I have ever known. I love the Mexican sense of humor. Four of us (3 Mexicans and me) were the closest in the group and hung out together a lot. We ended up in side-splitting laughs sometimes over our mishaps. A couple of them revolved around language when I lacked the Spanish word for something and tried to act it out.
Example: the time I was driving my friend's car down an icy back street because she was not used to winter driving. It started raining and I could not find the lever or button for the windshield wipers. Did not know the Spanish for it and she did not know the English. I tried to mime it while straining to see. She did not get my meaning, but suddenly said, "Caramba, no podemos ver nada" and reached over to turn them on. (Actually, I think she said hijole, not caramba.) I explained that's what I had been trying to ask about and we burst out laughing.
