(7,882 posts)Before Covid-19 the wife and I would normally go out to one of the local restaurants once or twice a month.
At least one of those trips would be for a Friday night fish fry. Two fresh Lake Superior Walleye Dinners with potato, salad, dessert, and a cocktail. Would be an easy $30.00-$40.00 tab. Before and after diner drinks made the difference.
We decided to allocate that money to the Lincoln Project. We are retired but on a fixed income. We carry no debt. Own our house and car. So we can afford the eating out money going to Lincoln Project.
The second usual outing for a meal is now to the restaurants that has delivery. We rotate between the three locally own restaurant to try and help them bridge the CV-19 closing.
So if you find yourself in as simular financial state please consider sending a small monthly amount to The Lincoln Project.
