The PCR tests are time-consuming, but very sensitive. For as many cases as we have now, we need a faster, even if slightly less accurate, test. I read that a PA company is working on making such a cheap, rapid test.

I also read that while the PCR test detects covid19, it can't tell what the virus load is. That is if you have a lot of the virus or a little.
