(35,152 posts)You propose a good solution, but it's not enough because tRump and the GOP are openly cheating and dismantling our democracy: Purging Democrats from the voter rolls, reducing early vote days and times, closing and switching voting locations, sabotaging the USPS, adding spoilers to the ballot, etc.
If we proceed into an unfree and unfair election, carefully tiptoeing around the known obstacles in naive attempt to work around their cheating, it won't just be trump who gets another 4 years, but we'll lose the House and any hope of holding trump accountable through normal, peaceful means.
House Democrats need to be throwing the kitchen sink right now, while we still have the ability to do so. And to the chronic apologists: it's not about whether they think they'll be successful or not. It's about upholding the law and raising awareness. We always have to do our part, regardless of the timing or how our opponents respond.
