Or didn't at least know that you're 'on the record' in some sense?
Anyways ... why did Mary wait until weeks after the book came out and she did her publicity to reveal she had these tapes?
It's really not the best 'look' to secretly tape your family and then release the tapes to the news, I gotta say. At least, unless her Aunt gave her the okay after finding out that she was taped.

It depends on the state. In California it is illegal to record a private conversation without the
