Texas law says that any damage caused by wake is the responsibility of the person generating the wake. I hope the insurance companies demand that the boat owners generating the wakes be found and prosecuted as well as providing restitution to the owners who lost their boats.

This was a fortunate outcome, nobody drowned. That doesn't always happen. I have been involved in rescues of people left in the water as their boats sank due to some asshole leaving a July 4th event at full throttle. Nobody drown in that event either.

I don't know about where you live but in Texas there is no licensing to operate and no required training. All it takes to be a captain is a check that doesn't bounce. Think about that. A vessel that weighs 10-15,000 pounds with 400 horse power and no required training.

Okay, rant over.

Back to the funny as hell Dumbkirk meme.
