in rural areas are hidden better by being given to companies like Riceland instead of individuals.
This is called Crop Subsidies as opposed to Public Aid or "welfare".
The aid is used for support rather than improvement, which is more visible.
This skews perception so the fact that Tax money flows to rural and away from urban is obscured.
