When I was 10 (I'm 71 now) I remember seeing barns with "U.S. OUT OF U.N. NOW!" painted on the side in huge letters. I didn't understand. To me the U.N. meant UNICEF, and I had even made a model U.N. building out poster board and a ping pong ball after my elementary class had taken a field trip there. I still don't understand the hatred some people have for working with other countries, although Trump's declaration of "America First!" did open the door to that kind of thinking.
