I think big rallies were more important in the pre-COVID days when that’s how candidates stirred up enthusiasm. Debates in those circumstances were an after thought that only the most dedicated watched. I think this year the debates will have a lot more importance than rallies.

I could be wrong, but that’s my gut feeling.
