That’s why i suspect it will be resolved before that date. And, even if Pelosi became the interim president (whatever that is), she would likely have to turn it over to the winner - whoever that might be - eventually.

And I’m not even sure Nancy would get it. Doesn’t the new Congress have to vote on the speaker? When does her term expire? Can they vote on Speaker before January (assuming we hold the House)? I’m not fully versed on all of that, but it looks to me like a shit show in every respect.

My takeaway is that it’s going to be the worst political crisis this country has ever faced - no matter what. Voting our way out of it in such numbers that there is no question is our best path.
