I think Trump has such a pathological need to be right, plus he wants to bolster his base, that he is pretending that he has it so that he can pretend to recover from it. That way he can proudly exclaim: "See? I said it's no big deal, and whaddya know? It's no big deal!"
And like others, I hope that if he has it that he does not die, just suffers immensely. Dying is too good for him.
