34. WOW, I get into this conversation everyday...

with the teaheads at my job, I am way outnumbered. They claim that the Democrats are the party in favor of forcing Americans to pay more tax to government for government redistribution policies. They say this has nothing to do with feeding the poor or taking care of those less fortunate and everything to do with increasing the political power of the left.

They now point to Romney's tax returns and they say, Romney gave 4 million roughly 30 percent of his total income in 2011 to charity directly, not to inefficient government bureaucrats, they claim this had more of direct impact to helping people than if he had given 10 times as much to the federal government.

They say Jesus would never support people paying their money to government and would stand on the side of people directly helping people by giving their money to communities and charities. Getting government out of the way and empowering the people with more opportunity seems to be their meme....
