49. Bad timing. Should happen a day or two

But it still would not stop the corrupt R party from challenging the election. They would claim they had to do it for his sake. But where would that leave us? If a challenging candidate dies before inauguration, would the VP candidate take his place in the challenge? Nothing says the VP can move up to the top position when there has not been an inauguration, as far as I know.

If Trump died just days before the election, would the election be delayed to get a new candidate? With Trump out of the picture, would more people vote Republican? So many unprecedented possibilities.
