(23,765 posts)folks were yelling about suppression on Twitter and I thought I would check it out Gwinnett county had 9 locations. It isn't suppression it is a helluva turnout!!!
Ohio is far closer to suppression that Georgia. They really need to catch up. I thought I heard there was only one early voting location per county. That is far worse than the one drop off spot per county we have in Texas - for those folks who do not trust the mail with their mail in ballots.
I looked up the turnout and it broke a record; somewhere in Georgia there is an early voting site with 300 voting machines. Probably in Atlanta.
Every state does things differently In Tarrant Co Texas where I live, we will have 50 early voting locations evenly distributed around the county. Early vote starts tomorrow and runs through Oct 30.
Do you know about Voting Centers for Election Day? It is awesome! We open all our precincts as usual, but you are not restricted to your home precinct to vote; you can walk into any voting location and vote, even if you live at the other end of the county. No more arriving at the wrong precinct with no time to get to another one.
I think voters will have their choice of 250 different locations on Nov 3.
